5 things i’m into
trying to bring my small tiktok “series” into blog form because sometimes people don’t want to watch a 5 min video of me manically yapping. my love of eBay is somewhat poetic. if I could pick two apps to scroll it would be eBay & Zillow. let’s get into it.
I know frog buttons are making a huge comeback, especially with velvet military-style jackets or floral brocade. I have my eye on a decent amount on eBay but I don’t want ten floral brocade jackets, so I do need to pick just one, which I tend to have a hard time with. I’ll sit on making a decision on something like this until it is ultimately “too late’ (meaning the one I decide on has been sold.. & then it starts all over again).
My aunt used to live in Singapore & would get me silk pajama sets as a kid & now she gets them for my daughter when she goes back. I should just ask her to get me an adult set because WHY NOT.
After inhaling all of the A/W 2026 runway looks these past couple of weeks, I’ve definitely noticed some floral appliqué vibes. Conner Ives & Erdem had some amazing pieces for inspo.
The clothing itself is such a statement pieces as itself, you could wear it with jeans or really jazz it up for a night out. Or wear it to easter brunch. Making it your own is really what it all boils down to.
2. Magazine Roll-up Clutch
I didn’t even know these existed until recently. I saw a girl on tiktok showing one off (I don’t know who it was but I’m giving her credit.)
I looked up the origin of these & they are a 1970’s novelty fashion trend.
I appreciate the humor in how it makes it look like you’re going to read some printed media.. when in reality you’re NOT haha.
This could definitely be a DIY project, but I’m scared of what my outcome may be. maybe just don’t get it wet.
I’ve found a few on eBay but haven’t yet given it the green light. I think I subconsciously want to find one in a rural thrift shop or something. maybe I will. either way, what a fun vintage accessory!
3. Men’s vintage oversized sweaters
Christian Dior, Lacoste, LLBean, Lands End.. the list goes on
I still find myself thrifting vintage oversized men’s sweaters to this day. I just got two secondhand izod ones on Sunday. I will never skip the men’s section for anything (jackets, pants, shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts..).
Some of my favorites come from my uncle & dad, which hold some personal nostalgia. while my ALL-TIME fav comes from eBay & is Christian Dior
eBay has a TON of vintage CD men’s sweaters.. all under $100! most under $50.
around the waist, over the shoulders, fully on over jeans. they’re my fav.
4. Upcycled tie belts
I found these on accident on eBay while searching for something else & I reallllly love them. They’re between $50-$70 each.
I think they’re chic af & would definitely where them with an oversized white shirt (pictured).
I love that they’re upcycled as well, each piece is unique!
5. Medicube PDRN Lip Sleeping Mask
I ordered this on accident thinking it was for my face & now I can’t get enough of it. It sits on my bedside table & will be re-ordered once it’s empty. I love it. try it!
